THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED

When most folks think of fossils, they imagine mammoths, dinosaurs, or ancient seashells. Earth is 4.5 billion years old, but most of the critters we know and love didn't evolve until the last 10% of Earth history. What was life like before then, and where can you find it in Michigan?

Join Dr. Dylan Wilmeth (GVSU) on a journey through space and time as we take a tour of the oldest fossils on Earth, where you can touch samples of billion-year-old fossils from the Outback of Western Australia to Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
