Drink Mead, Learn Things - Warfare in Michigan: Soldiers of the War of 1812

Join Grimsby Hollow Meadery, and historian Jerry Berg of the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy (and the new Military History Academy!) as he takes us back to a time when Michigan was the front of America's war with Great Britain, their Canadian colonies, and their Native American allies.

It was not a glorious war, in fact the war in Michigan was downright dreadful with massacres, defeats, surrenders, and miscommunication. There was even a group of British Redcoats that were recruited from Michigan settlers! These battles, their weapons, tactics, and potential heroes will be shared, as you learn more about Michigan's military history!
