Join us for another exciting presentation from Celtic Myths and Legends Podcast host, Siân Esther Powell, who will be joining us via livestream from her home in Cornwall!

Sea adventures, strange creatures, wise druids, great heroes. These are some of the ingredients of the Irish Immrama - monastic voyage tales. This medieval literature contains some of the best examples of Irish mythology and yet it was all written by Christian monks! In this presentation and Q&A hear an example of one of these stories and learn more about their history!

Siân Esther Powell is a storyteller and museum professional from Cornwall, UK, and host of the Celtic Myths and Legends Podcast. She holds a MA in Celtic Studies from the University of Wales and likes to sing shanties and search for folkloric creatures in the woods.
